I have tried to install the updates after I have disabled the third party security software, but again the same error message.Įrika Aro has replied to your question Office 2016 Updates won't install in Microsoft Community. So as not to create conflicts, I have also disabled Windows Defender because I am using third party security software (antivirus: BitDefender, Firewall: GlassWire, with the occasional Malwarebytes and Spybot). I have also downloaded standalone installers from the Microsoft website and tried to install them myself, but I again get the same error message. They are in the order they appear in the Windows Update window. I have tried to install them quite a few times already. Recently I have been getting prompts to install updates for Office from Windows Update, but every time I try to install them, every single one of them comes back as Error 0x80070643. I also have no use for any of the 365 features. I have no use for any others, so I decided not to install them to save HDD space, reduce security risks and reduce the burden on the system. However only certain parts of the Office Suite are installed in my system, specifically: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, My Office. "I am currently using Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit and Office 2016 64-bit.

To save time, I'm copying my original question and Erica's answer. On suggestion of a certain Erica Aro from the Microsoft Community website I am posting my question here also.
